Restricted & Prohibited Items
The landfill won't accept certain materials, and some require special permits or handling. To keep everyone safe and avoid fines, please keep the items below out of the trailer unless we've arranged it in advance.
We'll Haul It
- Construction & demolition debris
- Wood, lumber & drywall
- Roofing shingles & tear-off
- Concrete, brick, block & dirt (within the weight limit)
- Yard waste, brush & landscaping debris
- Household junk, furniture & general cleanout
- Appliances — tell us about ones containing refrigerant (fridges, freezers, AC units) when you book; they carry a disposal fee
Not Accepted
- Paints, stains, solvents, oils & fuels
- Chemicals, pesticides, herbicides & pool chemicals
- Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
- Batteries (car, marine & lithium)
- Propane tanks, flammables & explosives
- Wet paint, liquids & wet concrete
- Medical, biohazard & contaminated waste
- Ammunition, fireworks & other hazardous materials
Needs Special Arrangement
A few items can be handled but require an extra fee, permit, or advance notice: refrigerators, freezers & AC units (these contain refrigerant, so they carry a disposal fee and need to be loaded last — extra fees may apply if you're disposing of multiple units), electronics & TVs, and large quantities of concrete or dirt (weight limits apply). Not sure about something? Just ask when you book and we'll let you know before we head out.
Mattresses and box springs: the first two in a load are covered; after that the facility charges per item and it is $15 each. On a rental you load yourself that lands on the invoice after the weigh-in; on a job we quote, it is already in the quote.
Tires: car and pickup tires are fine — up to four ride along with a normal load, and beyond that we quote the job. Commercial truck tires are $20 each. A load that is mostly tires is billed at $175 a ton. Nothing on a rim bigger than 24 inches — that is the wheel, not the tread, so tractor, loader and other equipment tires are out. The facility will not take them and neither can we.
